The Norfolk Hotel

 We're delighted to announce the completion of the first phase of renovation work at the former Norfolk Hotel - The Townhouse. Following a £500,000 refit - our biggest investment in a commercial property to date - The Townhouse offers 12 of the highest specification workspaces in our portfolio. A number of the rooms are fully-accessible and every space promises to deliver the wow-factor for any business that wants to make a great impression on its clients. 

 

This iconic historic building is situated in the conservation area of Sunniside, Sunderland City Centre, and boasts a blue plaque recognising its heritage. Once a school, the building is most notable for being the birthplace of Sunderland football club. In recent years, the hotel was used as a hostel until it closed in 2019. We are thrilled to breathe new life into this treasured landmark with the creation of over 50 new spaces for creatives and independent enterprises of all shapes and sizes.

 

We're pro-actively developing our plans to tackle Phase Two of this ambitious and inspired redevelopment project, with plans to open the doors to the rest of the building in 2027.​ Keep an eye out for updates via our social media accounts!
